Welcome to Lake Wangary School – Preschool to Year 7

Lake Wangary School has earned the reputation of being a happy and dynamic school. We provide a high quality educational service that is well resourced with professional and knowledgeable staff who work in partnership with the families and community to provide a program of learning opportunities that is responsive to the needs of our students. Students come predominately from Coffin Bay, some 15kms from the school, with students also coming from the growing communities of Dutton Bay and Wangary itself. We also service the communities of Coulta and Wanilla with the majority of students travelling to school by bus. We have all worked very hard on developing a set of school values which reflect our beliefs. These are embedded in the acrostic poem; Leadership, Effort, Achieve, Respect, Nurture.

Our school offers a broad and balanced curriculum with a focus on Literacy and Numeracy. The learning program is complemented by Indonesian, a variety of sporting events, student leadership programs, visiting performing artists and opportunities for student voice through SRC.

The Governing Council is an active and important part of the school, involved in policy development and review, fundraising, and grounds improvement.
