Lake Wangary School Building 100 Year Anniversary
October the 15th this year marks 100 years since our main building has been opened. To mark this occasion the school will be putting in new seats chosen by the children and some engraved pavers.
We are inviting any and all students and staff from the past and present to buy a paver and put your names or a design on them. The pavers will be laid around the seats.
Please download the form you wish to use (written or your design). Complete all information and please post back to the school. We require the original back as the company who does the pavers have stipulated this. Pavers cost $22 for the written version and $30 for your own design. We are organising pavers early as we can to ensure we are ready. Extensions may be given after May 31st upon requests.
If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate contacting the school.
Lake Wangary School
Welcome to Lake Wangary School – Preschool to Year 7
Lake Wangary School has earned the reputation of being a happy and dynamic school. We provide a high quality educational service that is well resourced with professional and knowledgeable staff who work in partnership with the families and community to provide a program of learning opportunities that is responsive to the needs of our students. Students come predominately from Coffin Bay, some 15kms from the school, with students also coming from the growing communities of Dutton Bay and Wangary itself. We also service the communities of Coulta and Wanilla with the majority of students travelling to school by bus. We have all worked very hard on developing a set of school values which reflect our beliefs. These are embedded in the acrostic poem; Leadership, Effort, Achieve, Respect, Nurture.
Our school offers a broad and balanced curriculum with a focus on Literacy and Numeracy. The learning program is complemented by Indonesian, a variety of sporting events, student leadership programs, visiting performing artists and opportunities for student voice through SRC.
The Governing Council is an active and important part of the school, involved in policy development and review, fundraising, and grounds improvement.
